Seasonal Portables Driver

Responsibilities

• Service assigned route(s) with portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and other equipment.
• Represent the company in a safe and respectable manner while servicing customer accounts.
• Communicate regularly with dispatchers and supervisors regarding route changes or issues.
• Complete assigned routes according to the expectations that meet or exceed company standards for service.
• Maintain and update route sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain and update drivers log sheets.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Keep truck clean and operating properly within driver’s ability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including working overtime, weekends, and/or holidays).
• Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
• Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred.
• Waste industry experience, a plus.
• Additional skills may be required to perform additional tasks specific to work location, department, or line of business.

Qualifications

• Licensed to drive a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• No DUI’s or OVI’s within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• No license suspensions within the last 2 years.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age.

Benefits

Seasonal – the season is April to mid-December. Hours for the season are as follows: April – September, Monday - Friday with some Saturday's; October through December, Monday-Saturday, as needed.
