Seasonal Pool Server

About the role

This is an incredible seasonal opportunity to work at Thompson Dallas, a luxury hotel in downtown Dallas known for its unique blend of fashion, design, music, and gastronomy. Thompson Dallas is part of the Hyatt Hotels Corporation and features a stunning mid-century modern hexagon design.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and residents at the 9th floor outdoor pool with amazing downtown views
• Serve food and beverages, including recommending and selling our finest creations
• Engage in casual conversation with guests and residents
• Work as a team player, partnering with pool bartenders and hosts to exceed team and customer service goals

Requirements

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fun, fast-paced environment
• Refined communication skills
• Multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Thorough beverage knowledge and a desire to stay current with cocktail curation
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment in spring/summer conditions
• Food Handlers and TABC certifications required
• Ability to work flexible schedules that include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in luxury or upscale boutique hotel/resort environments
• Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of cocktail curation and ability to innovate beyond basics
