Seasonal Night ATV Technician

About the role

Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking to hire a highly motivated and hard-working ATV Nights Technician to help control populations of adult mosquitoes by safely applying an Ultra-Low Volume mosquito product from a sprayer mounted all-terrain vehicle (ATV) to contracted customer accounts. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about public health, sustainability, and is looking for a flexible, third shift position.

Responsibilities

• Safe and thorough application of mosquito control products throughout contracted accounts to help reduce adult mosquito populations
• Navigate between job sites and service treatment maps provided to you
• Document treatments accurately, safely, and in a timely manner meeting customer needs
• Perform inspections and maintenance on equipment
• Attend training and assist in other aspects of field work

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills
• Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms
• Have a valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record
• Able to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods of time as well as walk extensively
• Pass the Illinois Department of Agriculture General Standards Exam (training provided)
• Basic knowledge and use of Smartphones, applications, and Google Maps is required
• Must be comfortable performing assigned duties at night
• Must be able to drive ATV & Trailer and/or willing to be trained and subsequently pass the Clarke Safety & Training Program

Qualifications

Pay

$18 per hour

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 6:30PM to ~2-5AM (end time may vary and weekends may be required based on business needs)
