Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking a highly motivated and hard-working ATV Nights Technician to help control populations of adult mosquitoes by safely applying an Ultra-Low Volume mosquito product from a sprayer mounted all-terrain vehicle (ATV) to contracted customer accounts. This position is perfect for someone passionate about public health, sustainability, and looking for a flexible, third-shift role.

Schedule

This position generally works a 6:30 PM to ~2-5 AM shift Monday-Friday (end time may vary and weekends may be required based on business needs). The ATV Technician works a 40+ hour work week and supports summer season operations (generally May – October).

Pay

$18/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and thoroughly apply mosquito control products throughout contracted accounts to help reduce adult mosquito populations.
  • Drive an ATV in the local community during nighttime hours, abiding by all traffic laws while navigating between job sites.
  • Follow service treatment maps to complete and document treatments accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
  • Perform inspections and maintenance on equipment when not servicing customer accounts.
  • Attend training and assist in other field-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent with high school-level math skills.
  • Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms.
  • Have a valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods of time as well as walk extensively.
  • Required to pass the Illinois Department of Agriculture General Standards Exam (training provided).
  • Basic knowledge and use of smartphones, applications, and Google Maps.
  • Comfortable performing assigned duties at night.
  • Must be able to drive an ATV & Trailer or willing to be trained and pass the Clarke Safety & Training Program.
