Seasonal Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Summary Performs and reports clearly defined laboratory procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes, utilizing laboratory skills. Responsible for assigned shifts, with potential for overtime and callbacks. Completes additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens for accurate and timely testing.Performs laboratory procedures and reports results.Conducts quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance, and inventory management.Ensures positive patient identification to minimize errors and adverse outcomes.Supports ongoing learning and development.Achieves assigned goals. Qualifications & Skills Preferred clinical laboratory experience.Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or completion of a US military medical laboratory training course, with current or past certification as a Medical Laboratory Specialist.Basic computer literacy.Must obtain national certification in accordance with federal or state regulations within six months of hire.
