Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Summary Performs laboratory procedures to ensure accurate testing and reporting, contributing to optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for managing specimens, executing tests, and maintaining quality control. Follows safety, regulatory, and competency standards. Performs routine instrument maintenance and inventory control. Evaluates patient identification to minimize errors and assesses results for accuracy. May be required to work assigned shifts with potential overtime and callbacks. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent military training, with current or past certification.Preferred experience in clinical laboratories.Basic computer literacy required; advanced skills preferred.Knowledge of quality control, proficiency testing, and laboratory safety protocols.
