About the role

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Laboratory Technician to work full-time night shift in the Clinical Lab. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates.

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, located in Elizabeth City, NC, serves northeastern North Carolina with a team of approximately 650 employees and 150 medical providers. The 182-bed facility offers 25 specialties, including emergency, maternity, orthopedics, medical, and surgical care, as well as outpatient laboratory, imaging, and comprehensive breast services. A new state-of-the-art 88-bed hospital campus is under construction, projected to open in the coming years.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and interpret results
• Document and report test results
• Maintain department equipment, instruments, and tools

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
