Seasonal Material Handler - 2nd Shift $19.00 Per Hour + 2.00 Shift Differential

About the role

This position involves transporting materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations. The primary responsibilities include replenishing pick areas, sorting, lifting, and stacking boxes, loading materials onto pallets, and safely operating various equipment such as box knives, tape guns, and industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Replenish pick areas by moving boxes from pallet locations to flow racks
• Sort, lift and stack boxes as well as finished product correctly onto pallets
• Transports and load materials, supplies and finished goods (manually and/or using hand jacks or powered industrial trucks)
• Safely operates various types of equipment to include but not limited to i.e., box knives, tape guns, electronic handheld devices, RF scanners, etc.
• Safely operates machinery to include but not limited to conveyors, tapers, labeler, palletizer and bailers
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by collecting and properly disposing of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping
• Work in non-climatically controlled environments throughout the year
• May work in different areas (departments) in Operations based up business needs
• Adhere to facility hours or operations including overtime and weekends
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to wear steel toe shoes when operating a powered industrial vehicle

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors
• Must be able to read and comprehend a basic order form and communicate well with others

Pay

$19.00 an hour + 2.00 shift differential = $21.00

Schedule

• Algoa/ East McCarty/Rob Road Ops– Monday-Friday = 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with OT at end
• Algoa/ East McCarty/Rob Road WH– Monday-Friday = 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with OT at end
