Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in design and development of projects, including estimating time & material costs.
• Aid in creating safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing end products.
• Avoid negative impacts to the natural environment, ecosystems, and visitor experience.
• Apply aspects of sustainability and accessibility in all work.

Requirements

• Parks & Conservation students encouraged to apply, but all students welcome.
• Landscaping and/or construction experience, or willingness to learn hands-on skills.
• Basic Red Cross First Aid certification.
• Experience using various landscaping and construction hand tools.
• Understanding and appreciation of hazards and safety protocols in a natural environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver 50 lbs, and perform strenuous activities.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and on uneven terrain.
• Ability to work independently and follow direction from supervisors.
• Valid Driver’s License meeting the College’s approved driver standard.
• Proof of health insurance.
