Essential Functions Of Work

• Performs landscaping maintenance including but not limited to: mowing, trimming, cleaning, clearing, planting, watering, sweeping and painting.
• Attends all assigned meetings and informs supervisors of suggestions and comments that could better the parks and recreation operation.
• Carries out any assigned responsibilities relating to the City of Westerville Parks and Recreation Department as directed by supervisors.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports problems to supervisor.

Minimum Requirements Of Work

• Valid Ohio Driver's License.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of the current methods, materials, practices and tools used in the exterior maintenance of parks and recreation facilities.
• Ability to learn applicable safety practices.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and function within broad guidelines.
• Ability to present ideas and recommendations in a clear, concise manner.
• Ability to work effectively with other City personnel and the public.
• Ability to operate department spray truck for watering.
