Seasonal Laborer

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Performs general highway maintenance and assigned laborer tasks involving the use of hand tools and operation of motorized equipment, including but not limited to traffic flagging, mowing with light-duty tractors, pothole patching, and general labor.
• Starting rate: $18.00/hr. Returning Seasonal Laborers receive an additional $1.00 to base wage until the third consecutive season.
• Opportunities for flexible scheduling, working approximately 20-40 hours per week. Typically works four days a week, ten hours a day. Occasional overtime work when requested.
• No benefits are offered with seasonal positions.
• Testing requirements: Structured interview; Applicants must pass a physical exam and pre-employment drug screen.

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED preferred (must be at least 18 years of age).
• Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Physically capable of working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and capable of lifting heavy loads.
• Punctual, possess a strong work ethic, and be able to work efficiently with a wide variety of people.
