Seasonal Laborer
About the role
The City of Springfield is now accepting applications for Seasonal Laborers to support various departments including Airport Facilities, Forestry, Water Treatment Plant, and Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Responsibilities
- Performing general grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, and debris removal
- Assisting with basic repairs and facility upkeep
- Serving as a support for daily operations at assigned division
- Operating hand tools and light equipment
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Following all safety procedures and City policies
- Performing all other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team
- Capability to frequently and continuously lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 40lbs
- Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license and meet and maintain insurability under the City’s insurance plan
