Seasonal Instructional Coach (Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving) (Part-Time)

About the role

The University of Louisville Athletic Department is seeking a Seasonal Instructional Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Program for the 2026-2027 academic year. The primary focus is assisting with the Swim program, providing sport-specific instruction and coaching on an individual and/or team basis. This position may also assist with on-campus or local recruiting and reports to the Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive or their designee.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-deck instruction to student athletes.
• Organize workout data entry for student athletes (e.g., power rack workouts).
• Submit electronic meet entries for college meets and USA Swimming competitions.
• Organize and order equipment for the team.
• Participate in all staff discussions with departmental personnel.
• Assist in identifying prospects/recruits who fit the needs of the program.
• Assist coaches and/or athletics personnel with on-campus or local recruiting, including:
  • Creating itineraries for visits to the University of Louisville.
  • Accompanying recruits on campus tours.
  • Attending sporting events or meals with recruits.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive or their designee.

Requirements

• Eight years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPR/AED Certification.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ARMS database, meet submission databases, and the internet.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience within a collegiate, club, or professional sports setting.

Pay

$1,200 per month.
