Seasonal Hospitality Associate

About the role

These part-time, seasonal positions operate daily business functions for special food and beverage programming at Newfields. Shifts follow the Newfields seasonal calendar, with possible breaks; ideal candidates must be available September through January, including some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Newfields’ standard of extraordinary customer service for all guests.
• Answer questions efficiently and effectively about programs, exhibitions, events, policies, gardens, and buildings.
• Operate the POS and ticketing systems proficiently.
• Cross-train on all Guest Services functions and serve as relief personnel for Hospitality and Guest Services positions.
• Assist with serving and handling food and beverage.
• Prepare food and beverage for service, ensuring quality meets expectations.
• Stock inventory, clean stations, and manage leftover food and beverage.
• Respond to additional guest requirements by inquiring about needs and observing operations.

Requirements

• Holds a current Indiana alcohol employee permit or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain and balance an accurate money till.

Qualifications

Previous food and beverage experience is preferred but not required.

Pay

Hourly rate: $14.00
