Seasonal Guest Services Associate

About the role

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) seeks a Guest Services Associate to support the Christmas at the Library program. This is a seasonal position with potential for employment prior to the program starting in July.

Responsibilities

• Greet tour groups as they arrive at the Billy Graham Library and provide information about their visit
• Maintain a neat and orderly welcome center, shuttle stop, lobby area
• Answer questions and provide guidance to guests
• Collect surveys and verify all required information
• Stock guest services areas as assigned
• Report any issues to the Manager on Duty immediately

Requirements

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Faithfully uphold BGEA in prayer
• Participate in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading and group prayer
• Demonstrate behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
• Represent Jesus Christ to colleagues, vendors, and the general public

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Ability to verbally relate to others
• Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision and able to take initiative
• Maintain a high level of people and organizational skills
• Effective reading, writing, and speaking English
• Maintain clear, continuous communication with other supervisors and management
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to work under occasional stressful situations
• Flexible when job parameters or directions change
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and prolonged hours

Physical/Mental Demands

• Available on short notice to fill-in for absent employees
• Moderate in scope; varying periods of high/low activity
• Able to work closely with people
• Works indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather
• Work will involve frequent interruptions and distractions
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and prolonged hours

Benefits

Associate or Seasonal employees may work up to 19 hours a week (not to exceed 1000 hours a year (calendar/sequential)), and are not eligible for any benefits.
