Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests, vendors, and racing participants.
- Aid guests with directions, seating, and general event information.
- Support special events, promotions, and race-day activities.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety standards.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Verify guest age and identification before serving alcohol.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and report concerns to management.
- Stock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, ice, cups, and other bar supplies.
- Assist bartenders with maintaining efficient service during peak periods.
- Remove empty bottles, trash, and recyclables.
- Restock inventory throughout events and race days.
- Keep storage and service areas organized and clean.
- Clean and sanitize guest areas, restrooms, dining spaces, bars, and common areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
- Address spills and hazards promptly to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with post-event cleaning and facility reset.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs as assigned.
- Assist with event setup and teardown, including moving tables, chairs, signs, and equipment.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and equipment issues.
- Support groundskeeping and facility appearance standards.
- Operate equipment and tools safely following established procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, food and beverage, maintenance, or event operations preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work around large crowds, loud environments, and live horse racing activities.
- Flexible schedule based on racing and event calendars.
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events.
