Seasonal Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools to cut, trim, edge grass, turf, prune trees and shrubs, trim hedges, mulch, pull weeds, and apply chemicals.
• Maintain athletic fields by dragging, laying out, lining, and painting.
• Keep university grounds clean (e.g., pick up papers and other debris; operate a variety of equipment to clean sidewalks, steps, patios, and parking lots).
• Follow all established safety procedures.
• Work outside in all-weather conditions; work with potentially dangerous equipment and chemicals; exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and elements.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in groundskeeping or landscaping. Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

Knowledge of safety procedures and practices, ability to operate various types of equipment, and physical stamina are required.

Pay

The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position is a part-time, seasonal role working 40 hours per week from April 2026 through October 2026.
