Seasonal Grounds Worker

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. The Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO serves as the headquarters and curia for the Archdiocese.

About the role

Seasonal grounds workers perform general maintenance of Catholic Cemeteries on workdays between March 1 and October 31.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of all sections and equipment
• General Maintenance and Endowed Care work
• Weed eating
• Picking up trash, branches, and debris
• Leaf cleanup and removal
• Follow through on assignments
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Must be of legal age to work and/or have parental permission
• Ability to work with a team of other seasonal grounds employees
• Ability to work with a team of Union, full-time grounds employees
• Ability to take direction from the Managing Director of Grounds & Facilities and Leads
• Ability to be courteous to visitors and direct them to the office
