Seasonal Golf Course/Parks and Recreation Equipment Technician

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment at seasonal golf courses and parks and recreation facilities. Duties include troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all equipment meets safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with golf carts, mowers, and other park and recreation equipment
• Perform routine maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns
• Ensure all equipment adheres to safety regulations and standards
• Communicate with facility management to address equipment needs and concerns
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working with potentially hazardous equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance or related field
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency with common tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations relevant to equipment maintenance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Basic electrical knowledge
• Understanding of hydraulic systems
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
