Seasonal Forklift Operator - 11:30am Start

About the role

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Seasonal Warehouse Worker for our Distribution Center in Indy North. The role is part of our peak season and offers opportunities for full-time employment post-season.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an order picker or turret to perform inventory consolidation tasks
• Organize and stow products in the correct location within the facility
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts as needed
• Perform other duties on or off the forklift equipment as assigned to support business needs
• Adhere to all safety policies – steel toes required

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience - required
• 6+ months previous order picker or turret experience - required
• Ability to work at heights of 20ft or more
• Proven success working in fast-paced, physically demanding seasonal periods
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop, and lift 50lbs throughout 8 to 10-hour shift
• Able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) to collaborate with team members and follow direction from leadership

Pay

$19.50/hr, plus $1.50/hr shift differential - On Demand Pay available (access a portion of your earned pay before pay day)

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 11:30am-7:30pm, with overtime including Saturday
