Seasonal Facilities Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash
• Lawn maintenance
• Seasonal upkeep
• Basic mechanical abilities for property equipment

Requirements

• General knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers
• General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems
• Ability to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools
• Ability to learn and comply with laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry
• Excellent customer and employee relations skills
• Valid Driver’s license with clean MVR
• Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
• Effective communication skills
• Organize and run special projects to ensure their proper completion
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance in accordance with policy

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be able to obtain a Nebraska gaming license
• Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Casino
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Background working knowledge with small engines and general maintenance and repairs
• Ability to work in all seasons, including heat over 100°F and temperatures below 30°F
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
• Ability to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periods
