Seasonal Event Technician, Audio Visual - Wednesday, August 26th Hiring Blitz! - Orlando, FL
Seasonal full-time Audio-Visual Technician role with an anticipated end date of May 2027, reporting to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology. Includes full-time benefits, overtime, and hands-on training to support career growth and advancement. Responsibilities
- Ensures flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
- Exceeds expectations and needs of internal and external customers through effective communication and positive client relationships.
- Meets with guests on-site to confirm their needs and equipment functionality, monitoring events and checking in with customers throughout the day.
- Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship.
- Demonstrates basic operational ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Follows company processes, completes systems entry and paperwork accurately, and uses equipment sheets to determine setup and strike requirements.
- Interacts with staff and outside vendors for equipment needs, increases revenue through floor up-selling techniques, and finalizes invoices with clients.
- Completes order entries in Navigator as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.

- 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required for team members operating Company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment
- Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and/or dust.
- Working conditions vary from moderately quiet to noisy volumes.
- Use of high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components, with exposure to heights via lifts and ladders.
- May be required to work in multiple hotel locations.
- Irregular working hours and on-call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on the hotel or city/area.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $14.22 - $18.48. Compensation is determined based on qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation considers factors such as location, travel, relevant work experience, and particular skills or expertise. Some positions may be eligible for overtime, bonuses, or incentives.
