About the role

This seasonal full-time position begins in September 2026 and concludes in May 2027. Employees in this role are eligible for benefits, overtime opportunities, paid training, and potential career advancement opportunities throughout the season. Upon successful completion of the season, team members may be invited to reapply for future opportunities based on business needs, performance, and workforce requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
  • Strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers through effective communication and positive client relationships.
  • Meets with guests on site to ensure their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly; monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
  • Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship.
  • Demonstrates basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues; handles equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Understands company processes, follows procedures, and completes systems entry and paperwork accurately.
  • Uses equipment sheets to determine scheduled setup and strike; interacts with staff and outside vendors for equipment needs.
  • Increases revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques and works with clients to finalize invoices.
  • Completes order entries in Navigator as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • External applicants must meet, validate, and complete all required training and certifications within 60 days of start date. View technical requirements here.
  • Internal applicants must meet or complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program. Review internal technical requirements here.
  • 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required for team members operating Company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and/or dust.
  • Working conditions vary from moderately quiet to noisy volumes.
  • Team members use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and may be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders.
  • May be asked to work in multiple hotel locations.
  • Working times include irregular hours and on-call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on the hotel or city.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $15.64 - $20.33. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, location, relevant work experience, and skills. Some positions may be eligible for overtime, bonuses, or incentives.
