Seasonal full-time position from September 2026 to May 2027, reporting to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology. Eligible for benefits, overtime opportunities, paid training, and potential career advancement. Responsibilities

  • Ensures flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
  • Exceeds customer expectations by maintaining positive relationships and effective communication with internal and external clients.
  • Meets with guests on-site to verify equipment setup and address needs, monitoring events and checking in with customers throughout the day.
  • Demonstrates technical ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follows company processes, completes systems entry and paperwork accurately, and uses equipment sheets to determine setup and strike requirements.
  • Interacts with staff and outside vendors for equipment needs, increases revenue through floor up-selling techniques, and finalizes client invoices.
  • Completes order entries in Navigator as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • External applicants must complete all required training and certifications within 60 days of start date. View technical requirements here.
  • Internal applicants must meet all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program.
  • 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required for team members operating Company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and/or dust.
  • Working conditions vary from moderately quiet to noisy volumes.
  • Exposure to high-end audio-visual equipment, electrical components, and heights via lifts and ladders.
  • May be required to work in multiple hotel locations.
  • Irregular hours and on-call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $15.64 - $20.33. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, location, travel, relevant work experience, and skills. Some positions may be eligible for overtime, bonuses, or incentives.
