Seasonal Customer Service Desk Associate - PT

Retail Customer Service Desk Associates use their retail sales background to launch an exciting career with Boscov’s, a full‑service department store chain serving families for over 100 years. As part of a fast‑paced sales team you will develop relationships with customers and ensure each need is met quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Build customer confidence, provide accurate information, and promote products through point‑of‑sale.
• Establish professional, personalized rapport with each customer to close sales and deliver the best experience.
• Complete customer requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Accurately and efficiently process all transactions and paperwork, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Make storewide announcements over the public address system.
• Handle layaway storage, maintain records, receive payments, and release merchandise.

Requirements

• Prior retail and/or customer service experience.
• Ability and desire to work well with the public, management, and coworkers.
• Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Willingness to learn selling skills and operate a POS register and Telxon system.
• Availability to work varied days and hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay

Starting rate: $16.65 per hour.
