Seasonal Barista/Coffee Shop Assistant

Our coffee shops, affectionately titled Pausa, are positively thriving and it is our Coffee Shop Assistants that are at the very heart of their success. You’ll take pride in every cup you pour, build expert knowledge of our product range and meaningfully connect with our customers. Whether it’s a regular grabbing their usual or a first-time visitor, you’ll make sure every customer leaves feeling better than when they arrived. It’s a busy, hands-on role that takes energy, focus and a fair bit of graft.

Responsibilities

• Meeting high standards for Health and Safety and Food Hygiene
• Serving hot and cold beverages that delight customers
• Dishing up delicious savoury and sweet food items, ensuring presentation sparks joy
• Ensuring all cooked food is nice and hot so they can be enjoyed as intended
• Keeping restaurant tables clear and sanitised promptly to maintain customer expectations
• Providing an exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, service area and restaurant
• Consistently delivering exceptional customer service to support strong CSAT scores, ensuring every customer receives a welcoming, helpful, and memorable experience
• Working and being in contact with a variety of ingredients including dairy, nuts, meat products including pork

Requirements

• Previous experience working closely with a team, ideally prior work experience in a similar environment

Pay

• £8.00 per hour for ages 16‑17
• £12.71 per hour for ages 18+

Schedule

• Seasonal position lasting until 13 February 2027
• Minimum 16 hours per week
