Barista/Coffee Shop Assistant
Pay: £8.00 per hour (ages 16–17), £12.71 per hour (ages 18+). Minimum 16 hours per week.

Our coffee shops, affectionately titled Pausa, are positively thriving, and it’s our Coffee Shop Assistants who are at the heart of their success. You’ll take pride in every cup you pour, build expert knowledge of our product range, and meaningfully connect with our customers. Whether it’s a regular grabbing their usual or a first-time visitor, you’ll make sure every customer leaves feeling better than when they arrived. It’s a busy, hands-on role that takes energy, focus, and a fair bit of graft.
Responsibilities
- Be customer obsessed—consistently consider the impact of your actions on the customer experience and strive to deliver joyful experiences in the most effective and thoughtful way.
- Serve hot and cold beverages that delight our customers.
- Prepare and present our delicious savoury and sweet food items, ensuring presentation sparks joy.
- Ensure all cooked food is served hot so it can be enjoyed as intended.
- Keep restaurant tables clear and sanitised promptly to maintain high customer expectations.
- Provide an exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, service area, and restaurant.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to support strong CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) scores, ensuring every customer receives a welcoming, helpful, and memorable experience.
- Maintain high standards for Health and Safety and Food Hygiene as part of a tight-knit team.
As part of this role, you will work with a variety of ingredients, including dairy, nuts, and meat products (including pork).
Requirements

- Previous experience working closely with a team; prior work experience in a similar environment is ideal.
