Seasonal Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Harrisburg Airport

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Seasonal Automotive Detailer to join our team at Harrisburg International Airport (2 Terminal Drive, Middletown, PA 17057). This seasonal position pays $17 per hour and runs from on or after July 6th, 2026, to on or before December 14th, 2026, with a maximum duration of 161 days.

Schedule

Full-time schedules available:

• Mon–Fri: 10am–6pm or 11am–7pm
• Thur–Mon: 11am–7pm
• Sun, Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri: 1pm–9pm

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and readiness, including:
  • Checking fuel level and warning lights
  • Inspecting windshield for damage
  • Factory resetting/restoring vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
  • Checking for customer items and placing valuables in Lost & Found
  • Verifying registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
  • Checking fluid levels and adding as needed
  • Inspecting tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
  • Inspecting vehicle exterior for damage
• Fuel and stage vehicles
• Report any safety concerns, warning lights, or vehicle damage
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and trash areas
  • Vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and cleaning bathrooms
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks related to daily branch cleanliness
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current and valid driver’s license with no more than 1 moving violation and/or at-fault accident in the past 3 years
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 3 years
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• At least 18 years old
• Able to understand, read, write, and speak English
• Seasonal employees may work up to 161 days during a defined season (full-time or part-time hours) and must experience a 3-month break in service before working again as a seasonal or regular employee

Pay

$17 per hour
