Seasonal Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Bangor Airport

About the role

We are seeking responsible, dedicated Seasonal Automotive Detailers to join our team at Bangor International Airport (BGR), 299 Godfrey Boulevard, Bangor, ME 04401. This seasonal position runs from May 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026, and cannot exceed 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and readiness, including:
  • Checking fuel level and warning lights.
  • Inspecting windshields for damage.
  • Factory resetting/restoring vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
  • Checking for customer items and placing valuables in Lost & Found.
  • Verifying registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
  • Checking fluid levels and adding as needed.
  • Inspecting tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
  • Inspecting vehicle exteriors for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicles for customer rentals.
• Report any safety concerns, warning lights, or vehicle damage.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and trash areas.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks related to daily branch cleanliness.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Seasonal employees may work up to 180 days during the defined season (full-time or part-time hours) and must experience a 3-month break in service before working again as a seasonal or regular employee.

Pay

$20.00/hour (base pay of $18.50/hour plus a seasonal bonus of $1.50/hour from May 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026).

• Thursday – Monday: 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday – Thursday: 4:00 PM – close
• Friday – Sunday: 6:00 PM – close
