Seasonal Associate I - Seed Packing Operations

Position Summary

Johnny's is currently seeking Seasonal Operations Associates for our Weekday Shift, Monday - Friday, 5:50 am to 2:20 pm. This position will primarily be worked in the Seed Packing department but may be required to cross-train in the Shipping/Warehouse department when business needs arise. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills.

Position Responsibilities

• Pack seed into commercial and consumer sizes using various hand or mechanical means available.
• Assemble kits and products, and process bulk seed orders for commercial purposes, weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
• Learn to perform various tasks in the Shipping and Warehouse functions, including locating incoming materials in various stockrooms, retrieving materials using inventory systems, rearranging materials, shrink-wrapping, and labeling.
• Avoid assisting the receiver with sampling, labeling, or receiving; support cycle counters with locating and weighing.
• Report any problems or shortages to your supervisor or Lead, support daily order shipments by gathering, checking, packing, shipping, stocking, and performing other duties as needed.
• Use handheld units for accurate inventory picking and tracking and prepare inventory for the shipping department.
• Maintain a balanced work environment by working efficiently and accurately while keeping the workspace clean and safe.

Schedule

This position is a Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 5:50 am to 2:20 pm.
