Seasonal Assistant Youth Mentor - Full Time - Teen Leadership

About the role

We are seeking an assistant teacher for a seasonal full-time, hourly position starting on June 8th, 2026, and ending on July 31st, 2026. The position pays $18.00-$18.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Aid in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, see, hear, direct, and assist, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Uphold all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.

Requirements

• A high school degree or equivalent.
• Two (2) years (2500 hours) of verified childcare experience.
