Position Summary
Prepare masters by sanding and applying release agents in various stages until completed.

Mold Maintenance Overview
Conditions and reconditions molds for fabrications of hull, deck and small parts.
Ensures overall quality of the produced part including inspecting molds and noting defects for repair.
Job Requirements
- Prior knowledge and experience in the following areas, and must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Willing to work off schedule conditions to recondition molds which could include weekend work
- A minimum of 1 year of related boat building experience required; 3 years fiberglass lamination experience preferred
Job Duties
- Typically requires a high school education and some prior related lamination work experience or auto body repair experience
- Performs PI Work
- Audit departmental work areas
- Perform department inspection and buy-offs
- Multi-Task
- Read and understand Job Descriptions, Blue Prints and Production Schedule and Construction Records
- Work in a dusty and hot environment
- Repairing high and low spots, straightening radii and spraying gelcoat patches
- Auto Body Experience a plus
- Preparing area for textured surfaces and examining area for defects
- Works with CAD and Design for Non-skid and texture layouts on masters
- Communicate effectively
- Use computer knowledge
- Use hand and power tools
- Have high school education or GED equivalent
- Have knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
- Have strong record keeping abilities
- Have knowledge of procedures, instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system
- Have strong written and verbal skills
Safety Requirements
- Desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately
- Understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies
- Be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators etc.
- Pass spirometer test and physically wear a respirator where required
- Be able to understand and complete the OSHA questionnaire, spend working hours on your feet, etc.
- Understand all safety related document and worksite rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements, including the General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment
Pay and Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $21.22 to $25.80, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
