SDET Supervisor

About the role

The Supervisor SDET is responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks and strategies, ensuring software quality, leading R&D efforts, and staying updated on technology trends.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Senior and Junior SDET’s and provide coaching and facilitate knowledge sharing to ensure colleagues' continued growth on technology best practices.
• Develop/implement innovative approaches to meet and achieve defined metrics, aiding in meeting organizational objectives.
• Work closely with AFA Division and Department leaders to coordinate work and project priorities.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, mathematics, engineering, physics, or similar; commensurate experience in software testing and software development.
• Technical Skills: Competent in database principles and scripting SQL queries; expert in test design and test automation; competent in software testing best practices; competent in code coverage tools; novice skilled in object-oriented design and ORM; competent in testing patterns; strongly skilled in testing web services; competent in code repository tools; intermediate understanding of continuous integration, delivery, and source code management; strong understanding of secure coding and best practices; strong skill in software analysis, design, and problem resolution; proven understanding of organizationally accepted technology standards; intermediate understanding of multi-platform environments; high degree of understanding of project management methodologies; expert in DevOps methodologies; proven ability to lead and mentor resources.

• Programming Languages: Expertise in various testing techniques and tools including Azure DevOps pipeline and test plans, xUnit, nUnit, Jmeter, Jasmine, Mocha, MOQ, TestComplete, SoapUI, and Selenium.
• Software Development: Intermediate understanding of software development in a multi-platform environment such as Mac, Linux, and Windows; strong understanding of full-stack development.
