About the role
The Specialty Deposit Center (SDC) at Open Bank is seeking an SDC Operations Officer I to join our dynamic team. This position involves performing a broad range of operational duties related to deposit accounts, including account opening, maintenance, and servicing.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries related to deposits, wire transfers, online banking, account maintenance, and general banking services.
- Research and resolve client issues by coordinating with internal departments to ensure prompt and accurate resolution.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with bank policies and procedures.
- Communicate with bank clients via phone and email in a professional and timely manner regarding account inquiries, service requests, and banking concerns.
- Monitor and respond to incoming emails, voicemails, and service requests within established service level standards.
- Aid clients with account-related documentation, forms, and banking procedures as needed.
- Escalate complex client concerns or high-risk matters to management or appropriate departments when necessary.
- Support daily operational activities and ensure all client requests are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned to support department objectives and client service needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in general bank operations or related field or equivalent experience required.
- Good understanding of all required documents needed for opening new accounts.
- Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in the deposit operation and lending functions.
- Ability to analyze and organize financial information and perform complex financial calculations.
- General knowledge of lending and deposit regulations and laws.
- Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and e-mail.
