About the role
The Scrum Master, Jr. guides the scrum team through all sprints of a program increment, removing impediments and championing the team.
Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate sprint planning, release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile-related events
- Track and communicate team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and management
- Assist the scrum team in developing and estimating user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
- Update Agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs
- Assist with internal and external communication
- Assist product owners with backlog grooming
- Help the team make appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
- Identify and remove impediments that interfere with the team’s ability to deliver assigned goals
- Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
- Promote continuous improvement and help teams increase velocity
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages experimentation, creativity, and innovation
- Collaborate with fellow scrum masters to promote best practices
- Mentor junior scrum masters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience leading Agile Scrum teams in a cloud environment
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps and/or software/application development processes
- Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Atlassian Agile Products (Jira and Confluence)
- Active TS/SCI clearance required to start; must be able to obtain a CI Polygraph
- US Citizenship required

Pay
Likely salary range: $124,093 – $147,200. Actual salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
