Peak Performers has partnered with a State Superior Court to assist in their search for a Scrum Master in Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a servant leader and agile coach for one or more project teams.
- Facilitate Scrum events and remove impediments so the team can deliver value effectively.
- Promote and support the adoption of Agile and Scrum principles, practices, and rules across the Judicial Branch.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, development team, and stakeholders.
- Continuously improve team performance and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus two years of professional experience facilitating Agile or Scrum teams, or serving in a project coordination or Scrum Master capacity.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Skill in facilitating meetings and group discussions to drive consensus and keep teams focused on outcomes.
- Skill in using agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira to manage sprints and backlogs.
- Skill in coaching and mentoring team members on agile practices and self-organization.
- Skill in identifying and resolving conflict within teams and across stakeholder groups.
- Ability to foster a collaborative team environment that encourages transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing, based on audience needs.
- Ability to relate effectively with business staff, technical staff, and end users, and to influence without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master or agile coach within a government or judicial branch technology environment.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent Scrum teams or working within a scaled agile framework (SAFe).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.

Pay
$55.19/hour (W2 contract).
