Candidates must be available to work Pacific Time (PST) hours. Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.

About the role

CGI is seeking an experienced Scrum Lead to join our ERP implementation team and help deliver large-scale digital transformation initiatives for government clients. In this role, you'll serve as a servant leader, Agile coach, and trusted partner to cross-functional teams, guiding the successful delivery of enterprise ERP solutions throughout the implementation lifecycle. You'll work alongside Product Owners, Project Managers, Functional and Technical Leads, Solution Architects, and client stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment that empowers teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions while continuously improving delivery practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead one or more Agile Scrum teams supporting enterprise ERP implementation and modernization initiatives
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement, and Release Planning
  • Coach, mentor, and empower Scrum teams on Agile values, Scrum principles, SAFe practices, and continuous improvement techniques
  • Foster a collaborative, transparent, and high-performing team culture that encourages accountability, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Partner closely with Product Owners to maintain healthy product backlogs, refine user stories, prioritize work, and ensure sprint readiness
  • Proactively identify, remove, and escalate delivery impediments, risks, and dependencies that may impact successful execution
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Functional Leads, Technical Leads, Solution Architects, and client stakeholders to coordinate cross-team activities and support integrated project delivery
  • Monitor sprint health using Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, team capacity, and delivery forecasts to promote predictable outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives, identifying process enhancements, and implementing Agile best practices
  • Maintain Agile project artifacts including sprint boards, action logs, decision records, dashboards, and performance metrics using Agile management tools
  • Support release planning, production readiness, organizational change activities, and deployment coordination throughout the ERP implementation lifecycle
  • Champion Agile principles while helping teams continuously improve delivery quality, collaboration, and customer value

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5–10 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master or Scrum Lead supporting large-scale software implementation or digital transformation programs
  • Active Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is required
  • Experience working within SAFe environments; SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Agilist certification is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, Lean methodologies, and iterative software delivery practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise ERP implementations such as CGI Advantage, SAP, Oracle, Workday, PeopleSoft, or other large-scale enterprise platforms
  • Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach delivery teams, remove impediments, and improve Agile maturity
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams while managing dependencies across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals including risk management, issue resolution, release planning, and scope management
  • Experience using Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or comparable platforms
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the flexibility to adapt in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across distributed and virtual teams

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $156,700.00.
