About the role
Certified Scrub Technician / Surgical Technologist responsible for supporting surgical procedures and patient care in the operating room.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical techniques and handle instruments and supplies
- Prepare sterile fields and ensure all equipment is ready for procedures
- Provide guidance to students and staff
- Maintain patient privacy and support team communication
- Monitor and respond to critical situations
- Handle specimens and perform equipment maintenance
- Maintain a sterile environment and uphold infection control policies
- Contribute to quality improvement activities
- Support patient positioning, preoperative preparation, and post-procedure tasks
- Support surgical teams during procedures
- Ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to policies in a fast-paced surgical environment
Requirements
- Certification as Operating Room Technician or Surgical Technologist
- BLS certification
- Must be a U.S. citizen with current licensure
- Must pass a background check
- Experience in general and specialized surgeries (e.g., cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, urology, orthopedics, plastics, robotics)
