About the role

Certified Scrub Technician / Surgical Technologist responsible for supporting surgical procedures and patient care in the operating room.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in surgical techniques and handle instruments and supplies
  • Prepare sterile fields and ensure all equipment is ready for procedures
  • Provide guidance to students and staff
  • Maintain patient privacy and support team communication
  • Monitor and respond to critical situations
  • Handle specimens and perform equipment maintenance
  • Maintain a sterile environment and uphold infection control policies
  • Contribute to quality improvement activities
  • Support patient positioning, preoperative preparation, and post-procedure tasks
  • Support surgical teams during procedures
  • Ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to policies in a fast-paced surgical environment

Requirements

  • Certification as Operating Room Technician or Surgical Technologist
  • BLS certification
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with current licensure
  • Must pass a background check
  • Experience in general and specialized surgeries (e.g., cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, urology, orthopedics, plastics, robotics)
