About the role
Your gastroenterologist frequently works with surgeons before and after an operation to help select the best operation for a particular patient and provide follow-up care relevant to the particular digestive disorder.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the intraoperative phase of patient care under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program, Graduate of the Internal Freeman Health System Surgical Technologist Program, or has greater than two years of clinical practice as a scrub tech in a hospital setting.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
