Endoscopy Tech/ Full Time / Days / 40 hrs

Schedule

• Full Time / Days
• On-call coverage 1 week/weekend approximately every 4-5 weeks
• 1630-0600 call hours on weeknights, 24/7 on weekends

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, appropriately positioning patient and cleaning/shaving/numbing testing sites as appropriate
• Interprets, describes and reports test results
• Recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately
• Makes sure patient is monitored prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition
• Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area

Education/Experience Required

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
• Graduation from an Accredited (CAAHEP/ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, Surgical Technician, Emergency Medical Tech training, preferred
• Familiarity with endoscopy equipment or scope/instrument reprocessing, preferred
• Minimal two years health care exposure in a similar clinic setting, preferred

Certifications/Licenses Required

• BLS required
