About The Role
The Scribe will provide administrative support to Physicians.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Interact and work with the patients and provider in order to accurately document every aspect of a patient’s encounter
- Work under pressure effectively in a calm and timely manner
- Make and receive phone calls on behalf of the provider as necessary
- Successfully navigate through Electronic Medical Records System (EMR)
- Recognize the physical exam process and possess the ability to record exam details
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to document patient care as dictated by the provider in a legible and clear manner, following all local, state, and federal guidelines for documentation
- Complete and present the medical record in collaboration with the supervising physician
What We Expect From You
- High School Diploma
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Interact professionally and positively with all patients, colleagues, managers and executive team
- Exhibit a high degree of maturity, integrity, loyalty, creativity, and strict confidentiality with HIPPA compliance in all daily tasks
- One to two years of experience working in a medical practice as a Medical Assistant
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Electronic Medical Records experience
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
- This job operates in a professional office environment.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
