About the role
Position Title: SCR Technician
Location: Abilene, TX or travel/rotational (14 on / 7 off)
FLSA Class: Non-exempt
Responsible to: Product Manager
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair Natural Gas Power Generation Emissions equipment
- Perform routine inspections of selective catalytic reduction systems
- Promptly and accurately diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve problems when necessary
- Perform catalyst loading/unloading and handle hazardous materials in confined spaces
- Troubleshoot SCR systems and ensure compliance with EPA/OSHA environmental standards
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision
- Test and verify the correct operation of repairs and adjustments
- Utilize general failure protocol and procedures to determine proper diagnosis
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite at all times
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Maintain records electronically
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of how equipment and systems operate
- Experience with emissions analyzers or chromatographs is a plus
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Self-motivated and quick learner with the ability to work independently or as a team player
- Attention to detail
- Appropriate safety equipment and practices are required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license
Schedule
- 2 weeks on, 1 week off
- 12-hour shifts
