SCR Technician

About the role

Responsible to the Product Manager, the SCR Technician I will diagnose and repair Natural Gas Power Generation Emissions equipment, including routine inspections of selective catalytic reduction systems.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and accurately diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve problems when necessary.
• Perform catalyst loading/unloading, handle hazardous materials in confined spaces, troubleshoot SCR systems, and ensure compliance with EPA/OSHA environmental standards.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Test and verify the correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
• Utilize general failure protocol and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
• Maintain a clean and safe jobsite at all times.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Maintain records electronically.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of how equipment and systems operate.
• Experience with emissions, analyzers, or chromatographs is a plus.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Self-motivated and quick learner with the ability to work independently or as a team player.
• Attention to detail.
• Appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds for extended periods of certain jobs.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Schedule

• 2 weeks on / 1 week off.
• 12-hour shifts.
