This position executes the daily activities of the Endoscope Service Environment, including servicing new orders and reservice of items that have failed in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair of endoscopes in accordance with company and OEM procedures and work instructions (Level 3 Technicians can perform Level 1 and Level 2 repairs, plus the following: repair and replacement of CCD Objective lens, CCD Video chip, replacement of light guide connector, and image bundle).
• Perform all repairs on specialty models, including small diameter video and fiber scopes, ultra-slim fiber and video scopes, and ultrasound scopes.
• Adhere to established manufacturing and material control policies and procedures in compliance with ISO quality standards.
• Assist in modifying detailed work instructions for manufacturing, assembly, and testing of endoscope practices.
• Assist in diagnosing and servicing repaired endoscopes that have failed in the field.
• Comply with ISO quality standards, including capturing assigned data for analysis and reporting to customers and suppliers.
• Document and maintain accurate records of all evaluations, repairs, adjustments, and calibrations performed on equipment.
• Adhere to the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Management System procedures, and all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist other areas of service operations as needed.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of previous device endoscope repair experience.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies with minimal guidance.
• Attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to interpret schematics, prints, illustrated parts, diagrams, and technical manuals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; electronics or equivalent medical device training is preferred.
• Previous experience in the repair of endoscopes.
• Previous experience working in an environment subject to ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices.

Work Environment

• Monitor typical field safety and environmental conditions within the designated facility and report deficient conditions as needed.
• Use of both hands and fingers with dexterity; must be able to lift 20 lbs of equipment.
