About the role

Probo Medical is a diagnostic imaging sales and service provider that delivers high-quality, affordable healthcare products and services to medical practices around the world. We focus on building quality relationships with customers by empowering our teams to solve problems together and creating long-lasting partnerships. This position executes the daily activities of the Endoscope Service Environment, including servicing new orders and reservice of items that have failed in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair of endoscopes in accordance with company and OEM procedures and work instructions. Level 3 Technicians can perform Level 1 and Level 2 repairs, plus:
    • Repair and replacement of CCD Objective lens, CCD Video chip, light guide connector, and image bundle
    • All repairs on specialty models: small diameter video and fiber scopes, ultra slim fiber and video scopes, and ultrasound scopes
  • Adhere to established manufacturing and material control policies and procedures in compliance with ISO quality standards
  • Assist in modifying detailed work instructions for manufacturing, assembly, and testing of endoscope practices
  • Assist in diagnosing and servicing repaired endoscopes that have failed in the field
  • Comply with ISO quality standards, including capturing assigned data for analysis and reporting to customers and suppliers
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all evaluations, repairs, adjustments, and calibrations performed on equipment
  • Follow the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Management System procedures, and all safety policies and procedures
  • Assist other areas of service operations as needed
  • Monitor field safety and environmental conditions within the designated facility and report deficiencies per the PROBO Safety Manual

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of previous endoscope repair experience
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies with minimal guidance
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to interpret schematics, prints, illustrated parts, diagrams, and technical manuals

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred:
    • Education or training in electronics or medical device repair
    • Previous experience in endoscope repair
    • Experience working in an environment subject to ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices standards

Skills

  • Dexterity in using both hands and fingers
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs of equipment

Travel Requirements

Little or no travel required (less than 10% of the time).
