About the role
The Special Conservator of the Peace (SCOP) Armed Recruit is a transitional Security Officer position for newly hired armed officers. During the 120-day transition period, recruits complete all required training and certifications to carry a weapon and function as a fully armed SCOP Officer. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment screening process, including a fitness assessment and psychological evaluation. Recruits must obtain job-specific certifications within 120 days; failure to do so results in termination. Annual fitness assessments and psychological evaluations every 3 years are required for continued employment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (Required)
- State DMV Motor Vehicle Record and current valid Driver’s license (Required)
- 1 year of security, military, or police experience (Preferred)
