Responsibilities

  • Execute in vivo studies: establish and run CDX efficacy studies, including tumor cell preparation and implantation (subcutaneous and orthotopic), enrollment, randomization, and study monitoring.
  • Administer test articles via multiple routes (IV, IP, SC) with accurate dosing and maintain precise dosing records.
  • Collect tumor-volume and body-weight measurements on schedule, monitor animal health, and promptly recognize and escalate clinical observations.
  • Perform terminal procedures and collect blood and tissue samples for PK, PD, and biomarker analysis.
  • Design and execute dose-range-finding (DRF) studies to define active and tolerated dose levels for ADC candidates.
  • Run dose-fractionation studies comparing dose level versus schedule to distinguish exposure-driven from schedule-driven activity and tolerability.
  • Partner with the Director and DMPK to align dosing and sampling schedules for clear efficacy, exposure, and tolerability readouts from the same study.
  • Record, plot, and summarize tumor-growth and body-weight data; generate clear growth curves and study summaries.
  • Maintain meticulous study documentation and data integrity, following all IACUC protocols and animal-welfare requirements.
  • Manage study logistics, including cell-line readiness, animal ordering and acclimation, dosing formulations, and scheduling.
  • Contribute to SOPs and help improve in vivo workflows and reproducibility.

Qualifications

  • Required: BS with 4+ years, or MS with 2+ years, of hands-on in vivo oncology experience in a biotech, pharma, or CRO setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in rodent handling, tumor implantation, multi-route dosing (IV/IP/SC), tumor measurement, and terminal procedures.
  • Experience running xenograft (CDX) efficacy studies and collecting PK/PD samples.
  • Strong record-keeping, attention to detail, and comfort with data entry and basic analysis (e.g., Excel, GraphPad Prism).
  • Current or obtainable IACUC training and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
