12-month contract role in West Point, PA with potential for extensions. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Analytical method development
  • Routine laboratory testing using separation and biochemical methods
  • Data processing, documentation, and reporting
  • Reagent preparation
  • Instrument maintenance, tracking, monitoring, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
  • Maintaining a safe and clean laboratory
  • Document preparation including electronic notebooks
  • Scientific data review

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree with 2 years in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field
  • M.S. degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry
  • B.S. degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge with laboratory techniques such as HPLC/UPLC (including SEC, HIC, IEX, and RP), CE, cIEF, Simple Western
  • Chromatography (HPLC/UPLC - reverse phase and SEC) or CE (Capillary electrophoresis) experience
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Strong ability to deliver complex objectives under aggressive timelines in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Experience working with potent compounds

Preferred Skills

  • Small molecule API or drug product HPLC/UPLC experience
  • MALS (Multi-angle light scattering)/RI/UV and CAD detection
  • DLS (Dynamic Light Scattering)
  • Zeta Potential
  • Electrophoresis
  • Separation methods: Reverse phase, SEC, CE, and Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC)
  • Software: Empower, 32 Carat, other laboratory software, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Pay

$66.00 - $76.00/hr (W2 contract)
