Scientist II, High Throughput Antibody Production

About the role

The Research Scientist II will support biologics drug discovery and protein engineering, leveraging automation technologies to generate and characterize therapeutic proteins. They will serve as the primary point of contact for protein design and production campaigns and interface directly with therapeutic area collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Execute and develop mammalian cell culture and transfection workflows
• Competence in protein purification and in vitro analytical characterization techniques (e.g., SEC, MS, DSF)
• Experience with workflow and assay optimization using statistical analysis
• Experience with cell-free production and screening of therapeutic binders is a plus
• Engage and collaborate with internal and external scientific leaders
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of biologics, antibody fragments, and protein mimetics
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, sequence analysis, and protein engineering fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with protein engineering and purification
• Experience with statistical analysis and workflow optimization
• Experience with cell-free production and screening of therapeutic binders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
• Typically 7+ years (BS) or 5+ years (MS) of pharmaceutical and/or relevant industry experience

Skills

• Strong knowledge of biologics, antibody fragments, and protein mimetics
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, sequence analysis, and protein engineering fundamentals
• Hands-on experience executing and developing mammalian cell culture and transfection workflows
• Competence in protein purification and in vitro analytical characterization techniques (e.g., SEC, MS, DSF)
• Experience with workflow and assay optimization using statistical analysis
• Experience with cell-free production and screening of therapeutic binders
• Strong ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external scientific leaders
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

$84,500 - $162,000 USD

Schedule

Three days in the office per week, with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
