About the role

The Scientist, Hematopoiesis (iPSCs) will be responsible for conducting research and development activities related to hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) therapies using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments to understand the biology of hematopoietic stem cells and iPSCs.
  • Develop and optimize protocols for iPSC generation and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with other scientists and engineers to integrate iPSC-based technologies into therapeutic platforms.
  • Write and publish scientific papers in high-impact journals.
  • Present findings at internal and external scientific meetings.

Requirements

  • A PhD in a relevant field such as Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with iPSC generation and differentiation techniques.
  • Strong background in stem cell biology and/or genetics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successful grant writing and securing funding.
  • Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 or similar genome editing technologies.
  • Knowledge of iPSC-based disease modeling and drug screening.

Skills

  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing technologies.
  • Strong programming skills in Python/R or equivalent.
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools for data analysis.

Pay

  • $100,000 - $120,000 annually.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
